Although my ninth entry in "Forty of the Fourth" was posted first, this Fifth Doctor piece was created and posted hours before. Shame that it was a testing ground for how I was going to go about for "The Ark in Space" as on its own this piece is just as good and has enough thematic horror to be taken seriously on its own.

Disregarding "Snakedance" and "Kinda", the Fifth Doctor era didn't have too many horror stories like the Fourth's did, or even the amount of violence found in the Sixth's. That may have been a mandate of JNT's or the BBC's to shake things up from the long-in-tooth Tom Baker years, and in the Fifth Doctor stories there was a sort of return to the scientific adventures of Barry Letts and Jon Pertwee. But what if there had been a few more stories designed to scare the wee ones, like "The Ark in Space"? What if the Doctor did make a return to Space Station Nerva, new companion in tow, to discover the station in this far, far future has become something darker, and much more dangerous than on any of his previous visit?

That's the joy of imagination I think, and the ability to think out plotlines that hadn't been thought of initially.

What kind of camera do you use, to take shots of action figures in the dark with no noise and at such high quality? Say I win the lottery and decide to buy a better camera. What kind of camera should I look out for? How would I tell someone what I'm looking for? Is it something to do with shutter speed or a specific type of digital camera? Because mine is digital and it absolutely hates the dark. It's like shooting on an old film camera. More noise than a Grunge concert.
