Two Warriors Face Off For One Destiny

For my final picture of 2015, I decided to do one crossover I've often thought about but never had the energy to execute, or figure out how to properly execute in one context. I know very little about Marvel's Thundra outside of one simple fact, and that was back in the 70s she had a stint as a professional wrestler in the days when kayfabe was king, and everyone bought into the fantasy of wrestling being real as it can get (minus the whole thing about broken bones and stuff...that was real). That's primarily the reason why I went out and picked up her Marvel Legends figure when I saw it, just so I'd have an excuse to do a crossover image that would look right in the right context. 

As for her opponent, I waffled between making it Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, or Ultimate Warrior. Savage I ruled out, as I knew that that idea would have to be epic in scope. Same with Hulk Hogan. Warrior seemed far more appropriate, perhaps because both represented the epitome of the warrior ethos, Warrior's outfit (from his Wrestlemania VI encounter against Hogan) seemed to contrast with the darker reds and oranges of Thundra's costume, and both's faces (sadly you can't see Warriors...an unfortunate consequence of how I staged everything) having a note of determination that made this the clearest representation of a Marvel/WWE crossover. That and of the wrestlers from the Golden era WWF/E, Warrior was probably the most iconic of the comic book cartoons.
