It has honestly been a while since I've taken any Batman related pics, which is too funny: Batman is how I got into this niche in the first place! Served up here is the Dark Knight from his very first appearance in Detective Comics #27 in 1939, courtesy of Mattel's Batman Legacy subline.

I have issues with a lot of the figures that I photograph, mainly if the pose isn't working out right or if it's failure on the photographers part, and you wouldn't believe that I do take about 20 or 30 pics of the same Batman figure before I'm satisfied with the "one" shot. But they end up being some of my faves and I hope one day to publish a book with my Batman pics.

Nice shot1 Best picture of this figure I've seen...it's not a GREAT toy though XD
A bit too muscular but I still like it.

Why thank you! I agree, I think Matty would have done better to use the slimmer body they gave Nightwing for this period in Batman's appearances. I've seen some customizers do some nice work with the old DC Direct body that is a complete overhaul.

Also, I have to say that I took this second round of pics for it about two or three months after I initially bought it, just because I wasn't thrilled with the first few pics I took. So it is still a very problematic toy lol

Yeah they kinda dropped the ball here and there.

There are people that customized the first appearance? I'm amazed. I thought the body sculpt looked pretty excellent as is..ok, I wish they had used the plastic cape on it instead of cloth but that's me XD

I can understand that. I keep trying but aside from a Mattel sort of "through the decades" type picture I can't get him to look too natural in most poses. The neck joint doesn't help. XD

Yeah. By the way can you make a commission for me? I want you to pose this figure like any Batman Begins Poster. That'll be hilariously awesome.
Please!!!

Oh absolutely! In fact, I've been mulling over the possibility of doing commissions so this will be pretty cool to do.

Normally I charge about $75 for this kind of job, but as you're a friend I'll cut you a special deal: I'll do two prints for you (the Batman Begins one and any other that you might want) if you want to just gift me a six month or a year's subscription as a premium member.

Wow dude sorry but I don't trust this money and credit card thing. I better retreat my commission.
